Good win for the Doms after last weeks dissapointing batting performance. It was good to see both Hodgy and Rolex in fine batting form although we need to be a bit cautious as they wont be the strongest bowling line up we face. But as is often said "you still have to play correctly to get your runs", and they both did. Well done lads.

Good to see Trigger get off his run of "0"'s albeit a bit of a streaky shot, surprisingly he did well for a few overs behind the stumps.

The bowling was generally tight although I bowled to many four balls. Rob still not getting the wickets, perhaps Rob should be wicketkeeper as thats the nearest he's going to get to the wickets if his "strange" bowling luck does not change lol!

Generally a good all around performance but we will need to step up a level with the visit of Mark Erdington boys next weekend.

J Hickin - Couldn't bend or dive due to an early 'injury'. Miraculous recovery once he took over behind the stumps! Nervous start to his innings but was settling in when he played the wafty drive again. Has to sort out his shot selection if he is to continue as an opener. Neutral

R Rolls - Usual shoddy timekeeping prevented Rob from opening the bowling. Poor first over but sorted his line and length out to produce the sort of display we were used to last season. Some quality shots in an excellent knock. Looks to have the technique to open the innings but will have tougher opposition to test him in the coming weeks. cheers

J Hodgson - Did a bit of everything. Comfortable as wicketkeeper, he bowled a few overs of medium pace (which surprised his Captain!) and got more life out of the pitch than any other bowler. The Captain will be pleased to have another option in the bowling attack. Hammered some average bowling around the ground for an excellent 79. Very Happy

T Hickin - Usual lively self in the field. Ugly little cameo at the end with the bat. Turned down the opportunity of a bowl Neutral

A Last - Good fielding display - decided to use his hands again this week! Expensive with the ball conceding nine boundaries. Will rightly point to a few fielding errors but some experimental fielding positions didn't work. Lets have a mid on again next week!. Inexplicable promotion up the batting order. Suffered a nose bleed and the trigger finger for yet another LBW. Sad

S Morris - Little to do again but kept Hodgy company. It's a bit like your prize racehorse needing the company of a donkey. Neutral

K Adie - Another quality bowling performance. Will get a lot of wickets this season if we can keep her healthy and in one piece. Smile

P Boynton - First appearance of the season. A little light grazing in the outfield. Neutral

M Hunt - Much more like it with the ball. Was pitching the ball up, getting movement and getting the batsman driving. Needs to cut out the one ball an over which goes way down legside. Smile

D Moore - Better in the field than last year. His bowling, whilst not as good as last week, still did a job for his skipper. Neutral

K Ladha - Another to arrive late put in a good stint in the field. Neutral

I can't help but notice that the Roving Reporter seems a tad infatuated with Rob, every week it's like reading a diary entry of a 13yr old girl writing about her PE teacher!!! Is there something RR needs to tell us? When's the spin off website going online, The Rob Rolls Raunchy Reports, just a suggestion!!

Back to the cricket, a good day for the Doms!! A bad day for Last-Chicken human relations!! I fear for you James the next time Al is stood at the other end in the white coat!

John's up!! - typing away whilst eating his cornflakes! You may be onto something with the Rob Rolls/Roving Reporter (lots of R's) thing but don't upset him too much. It'll be Chicken, appeal, finger, Hodgy appeal, finger, the Doms 0-2.

..... have to be nurtuered (or should that be neutered?) to get the best out of them. Much like higly strung racehorses, you did'nt hear Lester Piggot wispering "giddy up old girl" in the nags ear before an Epsom Derby it was much more like "your'er a fu#kin fantasic horse, you can run the sh#t out of this lot".

Other players, no matter how well you cagole and masage thier egos with fine prose they will still let the ball go through them off my bowling to the boundary when it was easier to stop the bloody thing.

Trigger Hickin has nothing to worry about if he's batting and I'm wearing the white coat, nothing to worry about at all, certainly he's not to worry about how to celebrate a 50... jocolor
