I'm betting on Pedro of the "cant bat" group beating Chickin of the self acclaimed "can bat" group getting more runs by the end of the season..

I love a good sub group - more stats to piss about with! If the relevant authorities on such subjects would provide the names of those in each catergory then i will happily get the stats on the site. I would also suggest a 'wont bat' group for those that 'can' but dont

Given Chickin gave birth to this perhaps one can use those who have batted no's 9, 10,11 when Chick has captained the Doms this season

The average position Chickin has batted is 3.81 so one would expect his "can batters" are 4 and above, god only knows what he calls batters 5-8

So you can form a table on that basis!

I will have to give it some thought. Technically you haven't batted at no.11 at all this season. Perhaps chickin was holding you back down the order for a late charge full of Dilshan scoops and reverse sweeps. Also should i use the mean, median or mode when determining the average batting position. Again using yourself as an example you have batted 13 times this season in 24 games. Your mean average is 5 which is misleading as infact you have never batted anywhere other than as an opener or 7 downwards. Your median is 7 and your modal average is 8 (four occasions).

In my case my mean average is 4.71, my median is 6 and my modal is 6 (7 times in 21 games). So infact i am firmly in your unnamed middle group and am leading scorer!

Chickin has a mean of 3.46, a median of 2 and a mode of 1 (5 times in 13 innings)

I suspect Chickin has no formular, much a gut (and he has it in spoades) instinct - so I would think his regular players that can and cant is something like this...
